for immediate release
June 6, 2008 -- Radionic Records (New Orleans, LA) has announced its 23rd release, "Eleven Years From Yesterday" by Buzzy Beano.
"Eleven Years From Yesterday" is a double CD featuring 31 original tunes and represents a radical departure stylistically from Beano's two earlier releases, "between hay and grass" and "Hopalong Catastrophe featuring Buzzy Beano", which were country/rock records.
The new record represents the pop/rock side of Beano and showcases his writing, arranging, and producing skills. The songs run the gamut from straight forward, guitar-driven rock to elaborately produced pop songs with lush arrangements. There is a noticeable Beatles' influence throughout the record but some of the material wanders into exotic and sometimes bizarre territory.
The release of "Eleven Years From Yesterday" was accompanied by a CD release party on May 19, 2008 at Southport Hall in New Orleans. Beano assembled an all-star band of local talent to perform songs from the CD. Another show is scheduled for June 19, 2008 at Carrollton Station.
The CD currently can be purchased at Louisiana Music Factory or at Topcats' shows, and is also available online at www.fourcatsradionic.com. It will be available shortly on www.cdbaby.com and www.amazon.com. Look for it in August on iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, and other major digital download sites.
This latest release continues the legacy of Four Cats/Radionic Records, a small independent company established in New Orleans 12 years ago, as an artist-friendly label dedicated to the talents of local singer/songwriters. Besides his own material, Buzzy Beano has produced and/or recorded dozens of local artists at Radionic studios.
Look for more exciting new releases on Four Cats/Radionic Records in the near future. Including recordings from Buzzy Beano, Todd Washko, & Richard Duncan's ÐWendall Nightfall Troupe to mention a few. As well as new artists on the horizon.
